Day 7: Wednesday, August 29th
Objective: Prototype a desktop movie rental experience, inspired by iTunes.
Design: I created a movie rental site called Binge. Binge watching shows has become a common phrase when referring to watching a significant amount of movies or shows in one seating. I wanted to have the logo represent the purpose of the site so I replaced the 'n' in Binge with a play button.
As far as site design was concerned, I wanted to keep the primary colors dark with pops of vibrant colors from the logo and buttons. I wanted simple navigation on the right panel and for a majority of the space to be taken up with featured movies and lists of movies that can be categorized by the navigation bar at the bottom of the page.
